Keeping Your Extra Konica-Minolta Toner Cartridges Fresh
If you work in a busy office environment, nothing makes more sense than keeping some extra Konica-Minolta toner info around. It’s hard to scrounge up extra toner on short notice, and it always seems that the toner runs out right when you are in the middle of a big print.
There are a few things you should do to make sure you store and keep your Konica-Minolta toner fresh and ready for use. The most important thing is to make sure you store the toner properly. Like many things, the cartridges need to be protected from great temperature fluctuations. This shouldn’t be so hard, as long as your office has temperature-controlled storage spaces. If not, don’t store the cartridges in a basement or garage space. Keep them indoors and in the temperature-controlled areas. Also, keep them out of direct sunlight, as that can heat them up unnaturally.
Next, make sure you observe the expiration dates on the Konica-Minolta toner boxes. If you buy from a reputable company, this should never be an issue. Just make sure that the toner is of a proper date, and that it will not expire before you plan to use it. While it’s nice to buy in advance, don’t buy so much that you will risk having them expire before you get a chance to use them.
Finally, make sure the toner avoids humid conditions. Since the toner is a powder, any humidity can cause the powder to congeal and be unusable. If you live in a naturally humid environment and have trouble controlling the storage climate, consider buying fewer backups in order to make sure the toner stays fresh.
It’s great to have a backup, as long as the backup is reliable. Follow this advice and you should never have to worry about your toner running low, running bad or running out of time.
